Nominations now open for 2024 AIDN Young Achiever Award
28 February 2024
Applications are now open to nominate young achievers making waves in South Australia’s defence industry.
Now in its 18th year, the Australian Defence Industry Network (AIDN) Young Achiever Award recognises upcoming defence industry leaders making an impact through leadership, technical ability and industry achievements.
Each year, the award is held at a state level with winners moving on to compete for the National Award title.
Defence SA will once again back South Australia’s future leaders as a proud sponsor of the South Australian AIDN Young Achiever Award which last year went to Aurizn Associate Research Scientist, Jonathan Hedger.
Acting Chief Executive of Defence SA Reg Carruthers said that it was a privilege to sponsor the Awards for another year.
“This is an excellent opportunity to recognise and reward upcoming defence industry leaders and showcase South Australia’s incredible local talent,” Mr Carruthers said.
“If you are working in the defence industry or know someone making a difference through their leadership and technical expertise in the defence industry, encourage them to nominate for this year’s award.”
Nominations are open until Thursday 23 May 2024 at 5.00pm AEST. Late nominations will not be accepted.
Talented individuals under the age of 30 must clearly demonstrate how they make a significant contribution to their employer and to Defence, showcasing proven innovation, leadership and excellence in the field.
Nominees must also be employees of current AIDN members.
